Click to view more in the galleryClients who have the interest and discernment to purchase commissioned heritage art, play a special role in the collaboration between themselves and the artist. It is important to choose someone whose work inspires you, and to express your preferences clearly.

It will take time to create a piece that is designed and painted for you. Certain unique elements such as appropriate colors, stylistic elements, surface shape and condition must be considered. Unlike mass produced objects, the process involves a tremendous amount of time. Each step of the process needs to be worked out. The time involved is not always predictable.

The procedure is simple. After a discussion of your requirements including, but not limited to complexity of design, size and budget, I will present you with a sketch of the design and an estimate. It is at this juncture that refinements or modifications may be discussed, and subsequent meetings scheduled as needed.

There is a design fee for the time I spend designing your piece. This fee is calculated at 10% of the total cost of your project. This fee is due upon presentation of the design and estimate, and applies to the total cost.

All orders require a signed purchase order along with a deposit totaling fifty percent (50%) of the cost of the project, to initiate production. The balance is due upon completion and prior to delivering or shipping your order to you. Commissions are prioritized based on receipt of deposit.

Please feel free to discuss your ideas with me. I look forward to working with you.

    • To decorate a piece owned by the client, to their specifications in the manner of Scandinavian decorative art.
